You Shouldn't Have to Guess What Happens Next.
A lot of designers treat their process like a black box. You pay, you wait, you receive something and either accept it or negotiate awkwardly for changes.
That's not how WowPlum works. Our process is designed for transparency, collaboration, and momentum. You'll know what's happening at every stage, and more importantly, you'll understand why every decision is being made.
Before We Design, We Listen.
Every project starts with a conversation. This isn't a sales call dressed up as a creative brief, it's a genuine working session. We'll talk about your book: the genre, the reader, the emotional experience you're promising. By the end of this call, we both know what the cover needs to accomplish.
45, 60 minute call, at no cost.
We Do the Market Homework So You Don't Have To.
After the consultation, our team studies current bestseller visual trends in your genre, identifies compositional and typographic patterns that convert, and assesses where the whitespace is, the place your cover can stand out without abandoning genre fluency. You receive a short written brief before concepts are built.
1, 2 business days after consultation.
You See Real Directions, Not Rough Sketches.
Based on the brief, we develop your initial concepts. These are fully realized design directions, not mood board approximations. Each concept represents a distinct strategic positioning. You pick the direction that resonates, and we begin refining it.
3, 5 business days (Basic/Standard). 2, 3 days (Premium).
We Iterate Until It's Right. No Clock, No Counter.
You review the concepts and tell us, honestly, what's working and what isn't. We don't want you to be polite. We want accurate feedback so we can build the right cover. This stage ends when you can genuinely say: 'This is the cover my book deserves.'
Typically 2, 4 revision rounds over 5, 10 business days.
Everything You Need. Delivered Clean.
Final files are delivered via a shared folder, organized, labeled, and formatted for every platform your book will publish on. We also include a brief file-use guide explaining what each file is for and when to use it.
Within 1 business day of final approval.
Your Side of the Collaboration.
We do the design heavy lifting. But the best results come when you're engaged and honest in the process. Here's what sets up a successful project:
- Your manuscript title and subtitle (final, or close to final)
- Your name as it will appear on the cover
- Your genre, and subgenre or comparable authors if you can name them
- 3, 5 covers you admire in any genre
- 3, 5 covers you dislike, and ideally, why
- A short description of your reader
- Any visual elements you feel strongly about
You don't need to come in with a visual concept. That's our job.
